Insanity Max 30 Month 1 RECAP & Meal Plan

If you want to take part in my next Insanity Max 30 group, email me at mskfitness@yahoo.ca, Subject INSANITY MAX 30

I am on the LAST WEEK of Month 1 of Insanity Max 30! That went by WAY too quickly! I can't believe I'm even writing that, I feel like I started it just a mere week ago!

The first week I did this program, it was TOUGH. I had lower max out times, I didn't feel as strong, but what it was, was that I wasn't MENTALLY that strong yet!

Now into week 4, I feel like this program has TRAINED MY BRAIN to continually PUSH my limits. Our bodies are COMPLEX, when you exert energy and use your muscles for something they are struggling to perform, you feel the BURN. This is your body PUSHING itself so that it can repair and become STRONGER to adapt to a new lifestyle. Your body can do anything, it REALLY IS your mind you have to convince.

When I'm working out now, I don't stop when I'm tired. I strive to hit my last week max out (which I STRUGGLED to hit), and then strive to go as long as I possibly can after. You can see how each week if you continue to go past, how much stronger YOU will get, but also how much stronger your MIND will get, that you CAN do anything!

I did Cardio Challenge on Monday, and was DYING after! BUT, for some ODD reason, (it honestly was like I had an alien in my body TAKE OVER :P), I walked over and put Speed 3.0 IN! That was my TOUGHEST workout before I started Insanity Max 30. And guess what? I PUSHED THROUGH. I felt stronger than I EVER HAVE because I KNEW, after 3 weeks of Insanity Max, that I could push my body to do just about ANYTHING! What a HIGH!!
This week I'm pushing myself to do my BEST, especially with Month 2, and tougher workouts, LOOMING!

I am dialing into my nutrition more than I ever have. I truly believe that you can work your BUTT OFF, but if your nutrition ISN'T there, you aren't going to see results!

Today I did Tabata Strength, and maxed at a cool 21:37. I worked THROUGH the burn, and pushed myself to that NEXT exercise. I knew the burn wouldn't last long, because we'd be onto something ELSE!

Pre-Workout : Shakeology w/ a quarter Banana
Post workout: Chicken wrap with Tzatziki, veggies & Sriracha

This week, I need to work on WATER consumption!! THAT is my big goal! Below is my meal plan, but remember not to use it to a T for yourself. We ALL have different bodies, and react differently to different foods. I KNOW these foods work for me, and they make me feel great. I like to repeat foods; I don't like to make a complex meal everyday. I love wraps, so I eat a lot of them. Almonds are my best friend! LOL So I eat them for my afternoon snack almost daily. Keep it simple. Don't overcomplicate it!

I think this workout is truly ADDICTIVE. I think about it ALL the time and look forward to seeing myself push PAST the day before. Beating YOURSELF is the BEST feeling you can have. COMMIT and you WILL succeed!

Here are the details on this workout:

What is INSANITY MAX:30?
INSANITY MAX:30 is a 60-day in home workout program that pushes people to their personal max in just 30 minutes a day without equipment for jaw-dropping visible results. INSANITY MAX:30 makes people push as hard as they can for as long as they can until they MAX OUT - the point when they just can't do any more or they begin to lose good form.  They'll then note their MAX OUT time, recover, and finish the rest of the workout. Every day they'll push to increase their previous MAX OUT time so they constantly progress, improve their fitness, and get the full body results they've always wanted.  And for the first time the program includes a low-impact modifier for every move so anyone at any level can MAX OUT without the impact to their joints.

Who should buy the program?
INSANITY MAX:30 is for anyone who is looking to lose weight, tone up and get the best body of their life!  It's perfect for anyone short on time who wants a  jaw-dropping body in just 30 minutes a day. The low impact modifier makes this program approachable to people of all skill levels.   It's also great for anyone who wants a flexible eating plan, or anyone who does not want to use any equipment.

One more week! THEN PROGRESS PICTURES! Go TIME!

Insanity Max Continues...

The FIRST week of Insanity was GREAT, but the SECOND WEEK! FOR real, best program out there.

Why?!

The SECOND week, we got a chance to try to beat OURSELVES. Our own max out times. Not ANYONE else's. We weren't sitting here wondering if someone else might be doing this easily, making it to the end with no trouble (let's be honest, we see someone in shape and we think they're perfect and have NO struggle!).

This program shows we ALL have a max out time, we push harder, go deeper, go FASTER, and we MAX OUT. That IS the goal of the program! It shows everyone in the group that we are all just PEOPLE competing with ourselves, seeking to be BETTER than we were before <3

Now, in preparation for WEEK 3 of this incredible program, I really am working on nutrition.

HALFWAY pictures WILL be coming up on Monday two weeks from tomorrow. THIS seriously blew me AWAY. How did it come that quickly?! It's time to seriously focus on the nutrition end of Insanity Max 30!

It uses the 21 day Fix container system, however with different brackets, and it puts me in a HIGHER bracket than I was in. I was feeling I was eating TOO MUCH for me, so I went back to the bracket I used before and I'll be starting that tomorrow.

Please don't mind the REPEAT meals, I'm a creature of habit, and like what I like. If its easy, I like it, then it'll be eaten SEVERAL times during the week. LOL Hence the Shakeology ALWAYS for breakfast, followed by Greek Yogurt w/Strawberries, almost EVERY single day!

I will be looking for some new recipes to try this week, so I can add them in NEXT week (despite me REALLY not wanting to... I am used to THIS meal plan LOL). I need to try some new things so I can be a better Coach, and MOM LOL My kids need some variety!

Your Coach,
Krys

Avocado Garlic Spread Recipe

This is my ALL TIME favourite "condiment" to use on burgers! I feel like I'm eating at a high end restaurant LOL

Not only will this add a TON of flavour to your next burger meal, but it's INCREDIBLY healthy and full of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats! Remember your body still NEEDS fat to burn fat! Just the RIGHT kinds!

BY THE WAY, any recipe I post has been TESTED several times and APPROVED by the family! The kids loved it!

Serving Size: Enough for one family meal as it tends to go bad quickly!

Ingredients:

1 ripe avocado
1/4 small red onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tbs Greek 0% Plain Yogurt
Pinch of Chili Powder
Pinch of Pepper
1/4 teaspoon balsamic vinaigrette (OPTIONAL: I use Panera bread balsamic)

Directions:

Combine together in a magic bullet until you have the desired consistency and SPREAD!

Enjoy!

EEK! Insanity Max 30 BEFORE PICTURES!

As promised, I said I would share my before pictures, however unflattering they may be!!

ACCOUNTABILITY at it's BEST!

My starting weight is 162.4 and I started on December 29th, 2014 {being yesterday}!

So far, I maxed out at 8:28 on Cardio Challenge & 11:20 on Tabata Power!

I am so NOT going to lie, I have to get myself in the game MENTALLY before I go after this workout! There is something about pushing PAST the time you had last time, pushing yourself when you feel like you CAN'T go anymore... The competitor in me is in LOVE!

Putting my BEST foot forward for this year, and I am committing to this 60 days, no matter what happens, this is a commitment, and if I have to do this workout at midnight because I slacked all day, midnight it shall be!

AND, enough procrastination, here they are!

This program, SCARES me on a DAILY basis. Why?! Because I KNOW how hard I worked on said DVD of the calendar, and I KNOW it's going to be a HUGE challenge to overcome, and move PAST the limits I set the week prior with my max out time. Sometimes you just gotta BREATHE IN COURAGE, and EXHALE THE FEAR!

I will share my ENTIRE journey through this blog, along with new recipes I've tried throughout, using the container system that Insanity Max 30 uses (as well as 21 Day Fix).

FAMILY FRIENDLY recipes coming soon!

New Year, New ME

I think this may be the FIRST Christmas, where I feel stronger at the END of December than I did at the beginning!! Finally, I have learned to LISTEN to what my body needs, and not just eat everything in sight because it tastes good (Although I did eat a few too many Lindt chocolates, who can resist those?!).

I worked out everyday, I ate healthy, and on Christmas Day, I ate whatever I FELT like having, and yes, I definitely indulged. BUT, it was one day, and feeling the way I felt AFTER, was only a better reminder as to WHY I do this, why I strive to be as healthy as possible, because all I wanted to do was SLEEP after!

I feel like I have made SO much progress in 2014. To be honest, I thought I would have a chiseled body by now. LOL I most definitely do not. But I can tell you that I learned so much about ME this year. I learned how to fuel my body, I don't have binge sessions anymore where I completely sabotage myself… I still have my mommy tummy, and I still have stretch marks. This time though, I am looking at those thing with LOVE. Those things are part of ME, and I have learned to FULLY embrace the person I am, and the body I have been blessed with. It's hard to improve something, or want to take care of something, when you don't LOVE it.

My body is so much stronger than it was last year, it's more toned, I have more endurance, but the BIGGEST transformation was in my MIND! It IS all about progress. Learning, growing, becoming better… We are blessed with ONE life, and one body to carry us through that life. I will strive to constantly learn more things, strengthen my body, my heart, my soul, and continue on embracing new experiences so I can fully ENJOY my life! Without constantly challenging myself, I feel like I just sit back and watch life pass me by, and I refuse to do that. I spent WAY too much time doing that, and now it's time to step out of my comfort zone, do hard things, and truly see what I was made for!

I am officially starting Insanity Max TOMORROW (before pictures to follow!). This for me is going to be such a MENTAL battle… I LOVE working out with Gavin, he pushes me to push harder (the competitive streak in each of us! LOL). :) But with a Max out time, I'm competing with MYSELF, and the time I DID in the past. Everytime I go into the workout, I CAN'T just go through the motions, I have to mentally CRUSH my last goal, and set a new one. I have to push everyday. I am SO excited to embrace a NEW challenge. Gavin and I tried it yesterday, and we were both excited, oblivious of what was to come. Let's just say it ended with him on the floor and me not being able to get off the couch!

So here we go, onto 2015. Onto bigger and better things. Onto new experiences, new challenges, new victories, and all new struggles. That's what makes life.

I am starting off on the right foot, with a DEDICATION to blog at least once a week about my journey, and I'll be posting my resolutions, along with my before pictures by the first!

Here is my meal plan, along with the new container count for Insanity Max… I am coming out of this 60 days a BRAND NEW PERSON!

Love your Coach,
Krys

Back to the 21 Day Fix Already!?

Last week I finished up the 21 Day Fix, and I have to say, I miss it SO MUCH!

That being said, I'm starting the 21 Day Fix Nutrition Program tomorrow, and will be doing the program indefinitely until I reach my goal, at which point I am going to switch over to the Maintenance level of calories/containers! The containers just simplify my life in a way nothing else has, and I truly never felt better than I did when I finished the program!!

Last week there were new Challenge Groups starting, my husband finally came home after three long weeks without him, AND I even had this entire weekend to myself to have a much needed "catch up" weekend for all of my coaches and challengers. I have never been alone in my house since my children were born, so needless to say I felt LOST! The bright side was that I got a chance to really look at what I want to do next week, re-evaluate what my goals are, and take some time to get things together so I can focus this week, on both myself and my challengers!

I even got to make some NEW videos for my 7 Day Quick Start to Success Training series that will be available soon I promise! (I am GIDDY with excitement to finally launch this baby!)

I also got a chance to plan out my meals for next week. I did include the containers I will be using for each meal as I am still in the first bracket.

My workouts this week will be Insanity, T25 and 21 Day Fix so that I can get my overall strength training, HIIT training, and some basic cardio/total body moves.

My biggest struggle this week? LATE NIGHT SNACKING with Gavin! He comes home and all we want to do is watch movies in the evening! Watching movies = eating snacks. This week I will be making SEVERAL healthy snack options so I have them on hand!

Wish me luck! <3

WEEKLY RECAP & MEAL PLAN!

And my 21 days is UP.

I swear tonight felt like my "last supper" after conquering the 3 Day Fix (which might I add, is TOUGH, full blog post tomorrow on my results!)!

So this week was AMAZING. I have YET to stick to a plan to it's entirety like I did this week. I completed doubles EVERY day, and then even conquered the *optional* 3 Day Fix that Autumn suggests for your last 3 days.

My BIGGEST struggle has ALWAYS been night time snacking. It's like I see the sun go down and someone with zero control takes over my body. BUT, this week was DIFFERENT. I had an amazing partner in our challenge group, and I can say being accountable to everyone in the group made the biggest difference. I told them I would show them what this program can do, and even posted my pictures on my Facebook to say that I will look entirely different in 21 days. Now THAT is some HEAVY accountability. I had to live up to what I said!

Now for this week COMING, I am more motivated than I've ever been. I am not looking to lose weight, but reveal the muscle I've been working SO HARD on the past 6 months.

I am not continuing the 21 Day Fix for this week, however I am taking the basics of what I learned and continuing to eat similarly. I'm going to stick to my guns and really see what kind of results I can achieve in the next 2 months, knowing what I've achieved in only 21 days!

Here is my meal plan for next week.

My goals this week are to stick to working out each day of the week (with Sunday being a rest day), and incorporate IN the 21 Day Fix Strength routines as well as P90X3 and Insanity for my cardio.

Can't WAIT to share my before and afters tomorrow! Stay TUNED!
